COVID Precautions

COVID Precautions at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

The 2022 AFCC Global Biobased Economy Events team will kick-off the second annual conference with precautions taken to ensure safety as its first criteria.

To promote the safety of everyone at the conference, AFCC will follow the guidance and requirements of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the county in which the resort is located – Price George County – which does not have an indoor mask mandate in place.

"At Gaylord Hotels, the health & safety of our guests, attendees, community and STARS ( employees) remain of paramount importance to us.  The COVID-19 pandemic has required us to raise our demanding standards to an even higher level with new protocols for the current circumstances. We have elevated our cleanliness standards and are changing hospitality norms. As a part of Marriott International's family, we have put in place a multi-pronged approach designed to meet the health and safety challenges presented by COVID-19 as outlined in Marriott's Commitment to Clean. These protocols will continue to adapt to current needs, in consultation with federal, state and local authorities and health experts.  You can see more detail about our cleanliness protocols at GaylordHotelsClean.com.  Currently in the county in which the resort is located – Price George’s County – which does not have an indoor mask mandate in place.

We continue to have hand sanitizer stations throughout public areas and have replaced our air filters throughout the whole building with MERV 13 Filters."
